I took creatine whilst doing martial arts about 15 years ago,i got good results from it.this stuff pushes you further but that can be a danger.

just get to know your limits in pushing your body(torn muscle cause you went over the top) and you will be fine.
i took it with grape juice only.I can say i have had no serious side efects.

I have now started to cycle and run and do light weights so have started to take creatine again.I had amazing results before.

I did not get bloating or stomach ache,i also had the correct time off from taking it.

ie i did one month one month off.I think the people who have took creatine on here have given good advice.

Creatine is sweet. I've been taking it for two years now no problems. You need to cycle it. I do 12-14 weeks on, 4 weeks off.

Like roids (not that I do them) if you cycle them, no problem. It's when you start abusing them you will have issues.

That guy that had issues, he was @ 2% body fat. I think something else was going on there, not just creatine.

Oi, I have history with my kidneys,Im 23, but the problem might have been out grown(No relapses of water held back for a couple of years)

The creatine has not effected me badly in anyway yet and the result is phenomenal but Im just cautious...

Could it have a bad effect on my kidneys?

Since the heart is a muscle does creatine affect my heart since creatine puts water in your muscles?

I am 48 years old and have cycled both types of creatine with the same results every time. While on creatine I see steady rises in the weight im lifting and definate endurance improvememnts.I find myself very thirsty at night no matter how much I hydrate during the day and after a few weeks any fat on my body looks looser and watery. When I come off creatine the weights I can lift will lower slightly and after a couple of weeks the watery look on my body goes away. For me the increases in strength make the side effects worthwhile. I cylce 2 months on and one month off - It seems that different people at my gym react differently as well - some do not bloat but most say they feel tired while taking creatine

Ok guys....here's the deal with creatine. First of all, if you are worried about liver and kidney damage.....don't be. You should cycle creatine, just like any other supplement, around 4 months on, 1 month off....give your body time to adjust to the normal levels of creatine your body produces naturally. Second of all, if you are worried about bloating...take creatine ethyl ester, it minimizes the bloating and absorbs better in your body. Also, as far as bloating goes, you need to eat right too, if you don't want bloating, eat lean meats...you can't expect to gain lean muscle if your eating hamburgers and fries everyday...."you are what you eat" I have taken creatine since I was 13, I am now 27. I am an active bodybuilder and get my levels checked regularly. Creatine is NOT harmful to you, but like I said...CYCLE IT...

Hey, im 15, and im starting on creatine champion nutrition. I am an athlete and im trying to gain weight but i am worried about the factor of dehydration, and how hard creatine is on your kidneys. Should i be concerned?

Guys, Creatine is like any other supplement known to man. Take it right and it's safe and effective. And by take it right, I mean research it. Drink water, stay hydrated and you'll be fine. Yes it can be dangerous if you don't drink water with it, and take it for like 10 years straight. Get a clue. I used creatine about 10 years back for a full year. No bad side effects at all. Just muscle gain. Take protein with it, give your body a chance to rest in between workouts. Case closed
